Mongoose synthetic fiber is characterized by great softness and absorbency along with a slow release of water. It is ideal for watercolors and painting techniques requiring reduced thicknesses and high degrees of dilution, such as diluted acrylic or oil in very light glazing. Wide at the base and thin at the tip, the mongoose fiber perfectly replaces softer animal hair. The pointed shape is ideal for both background application and very fine, extensive and well-defined details and lines. When pressure is applied, it creates a teardrop form.
